Dream Girl Golf Foundation was founded on a simple truth: every little girl has a dream. Girls in and aging out of foster care deserve the same chance to chase theirs.
Our mission is to help girls in and aging out of foster care realize their potential, through mentorship in business and networking, a community of successful people who believe in them, and the game of golf.
A note from our founder.
Over the years, I have noticed something about women. The confidence a woman carries into a room is so often shaped by what she lived through long before she got there. Pain from the past can quietly become the way she sees herself, and the way she decides what she deserves.
That is why I started Dream Girl Golf Foundation. I believe that if we reach girls when they are young and surround them with support and community, we can change what they come to believe about themselves. When a girl grows up around confident, successful women who show up for her, she begins to see what is possible. And when she sees it, she may make different choices as she becomes an adult.
Above all, I want these girls to learn self-love. It is the foundation for every good decision they will make. Golf is how we begin, one patient swing at a time, but the real work is helping a girl believe she is worthy of the dream she carries.
Why golf.
Golf is played one shot at a time, and it asks for patience, self-control, and confidence. On the course, girls practice those habits beside mentors who show them they belong in every room they walk into.
